Slowly, but surely

Today’s word count = 500

Total word count for the new draft of my children’s horse story = 1,910

I’m on chapter one where my MC discovers what she’s going to be fighting in the book and I’ve just got to the point where someone suggests a possible route to get what she wants. I’ve been building on a scene from an earlier draft that I’ve always liked and have decided to use it as the opener. It needs a few changes but I’m trying to keep forward momentum and not go back tinkering with things. A bad habit of mine!

Fingers crossed for 500 more tomorrow.

I’m also eagerly awaiting the return of Captain Jack tonight!
